Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of steppe.in. By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Who we are
steppe.in is operated by VASUIST ("we", "us"), which builds and runs Steppe. You can reach us at outpost@steppe.in.
2. The Steppe platform is covered separately
These terms cover the public website only. Access to the Steppe platform at app.steppe.in is available only to customers and their invited users, and is governed by the agreement between VASUIST and the customer. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement applies.
3. Our content is information, not advice
The articles, guides and other material on this website explain compliance topics in general terms. They are not legal advice and do not create a consulting or client relationship. Laws and standards change, and how they apply depends on your circumstances. Before acting on anything you read here, take advice on your specific situation. We work to keep the content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or up to date.
4. Intellectual property
The website, its text, design, graphics and the Steppe name and logo belong to VASUIST. You are welcome to quote short passages from our articles if you credit Steppe and link to the original article. You may not copy whole articles, republish our content as your own, or use the Steppe name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
5. Acceptable use
When you use the website, you agree not to:
- break, overload or interfere with the website or the servers behind it;
- try to gain access to any part of the website or the Steppe platform you are not authorised to use;
- scrape or copy the website at a volume that affects its performance;
- submit false information or someone else's details through our forms or booking links.
If you find a security weakness, please report it to us as described on our security page rather than testing it further.
6. Links to other websites
The website links to services and sources run by others, such as Calendly for demo bookings and the regulators and standards bodies our articles cite. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
7. No warranty
The website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, VASUIST is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on the general content of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
